What a great class saturday with Sifu Parker! Our King desires us to be a light to this world, a source of good and the Gospel Truth.

Sifu always says, "as a Christian man I would never start a fight," and we had a full hour and a half of discussion on social/community service, on being a transparent example wherever we are, on when to stand up for and defend the defenseless, and on being a source of good in our community! We also had some frank and open discussions among brothers about "what would we do if. . ."

Some truth to meditate on; the tension between justice and compassion, defending the weak and protecting family interests:

"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'”
From Matthew 25:34-40

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
Hebrews 13:16

"Don't be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes." When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to his own work.
